Churston Court is set in the heart of Torbay, the English Riviera situated in Churston near the hamlet of Galmpton and minutes away from all the attractions of the South Devon coast.

The 12th century Manor House has been restored skillfully blending contemporary comfort. The hotel is a step back in time with large open inglenook log fires offering a warm welcome to our visitors. The walls are covered with original portraits, tapestries, armoury, and mirrors. This is a truly amazing place to stay, dine, enjoy a drink and relax.

This historic gem has been attracting visitors for centuries. Sir Humphrey Gilbert, who colonized Newfoundland , lived nearby at Greenaway and was a regular visitor with his half brother Sir Walter Raleigh. The famous crime writer Agatha Christie was also a regular visitor and was inspired to write her “Death on the links” here.

The Inn has 20 ensuite rooms all finished to a very high standard.

Many of our rooms contain magnificent four poster beds. These prestigious rooms are among the most stylish in the hotel, boasting individual décor of contemporary style blended with medieval English. These beautifully carved four poster beds will create a wonderful setting for the most romantic of honeymoons.

Many of our superior rooms have hand carved four poster beds. The en-suites are fitted with curvaceous double ended roll baths and many with walk-in showers. All rooms have LCD televisions.

The desserts, pies, puddings are all home-made by our own excellent chefs. All produce is local and our fresh fish supplied each day from the local Brixham fishing fleet.

The menu especially offers a superbly cooked range of traditional meats and poultry and has become locally renowned for top quality food service, and excellent value for money.

Exposed brickwork, seasoned beams and welcoming log fires create the perfect atmosphere to enjoy good fayre. Our constantly changing specials menu provides a wide choice of traditional and vegetarian dishes. We also offer a popular selection of mouthwatering snacks and light refreshments from the bar. These are complemented by an extensive range of wines, cask ales and lagers.

The Churston Court hotel has a number of rooms suitable for all types of functions and parties. Each room has individual characteristics and whichever you choose, you and your colleagues can enjoy the use of our extensive grounds. The Armoury and The Yellow Rooms are within the main house together with the Main Restaurant. We can also accommodate a marquee situated on the lawn should you wish for those much larger groups.

The Churston Court can offer a unique venue for your wedding, being licensed to hold civil ceremonies in The Yellow Room, The Blue Room or The Armoury Room.
