Goodrington Park is a natural habitat for swans, geese and wild birds.

This is ideal picnic area and safe for all the families with children.

Goodrington is located on-route from Paignton towards Brixham. This beautiful cliff walk follows the coast from Paignton Harbour down to the North Sands beach. The walk has been planted with exotic vegetation and flowers from around the world, donated by the founder of Paignton Zoo Herbert Whitley in 1930. The gardens are mature and offer a stunning floral display in spring and summer.

Brewsters have a pub on the seafront, which has excellent child facilities and offers a refreshing break from the beach.

South sands is a pleasant beach, which is often untouched by high tide providing a drier sand surface to sit on. Rocks at each end of the beach provide interesting low tide exploration for children with fishing nets and buckets.

The beach shelves gently and is ideal for families. Behind the Devon red sandy ocean front is a grassy area with a boating lake and cafe. Goodrington has two beaches separated by the Quay West complex. An impressive waterslide park, go-kart track and amusements can be enjoyed here along with activities for children such as Punch and Judy, which take place on the beach.

There is a sea centre here with free entry, which provides information about the local sea creatures and offers talks, walks and activities throughout the summer
Away from the beach you can hop aboard the Steam train at Goodrington station and take the picturesque journey along the coastline to the yachting haven of Kingswear.
