We are situated in the delightful rural surroundings of the Dart Valley, in possibly one of the most tranquil parts of England. As the Newspaper ‘Devon Today’, kindly said of The Sea Trout Inn. “Most people’s idea of the idyllic Devon Inn”.

We have pretty, cottage style bedrooms where you can sleep in comfort and dream of the day to come. We offer good food in both of our relaxing and comfortable bars, or you can enjoy our fine 2-rosette Egon Ronay recommended conservatory restaurant. Our restaurant overlooks our pleasant patio gardens where on fine evenings you can enjoy our real ales. For the cooler evenings and nights, we have log fires to warm you toes by.

Here you can plan your next days activities whether it is fishing on the River Dart a few minutes walk from the Inn, walking along one of the many public paths that Devon is renowned for. Visiting one of the many public attractions that are close by; playing golf at one of the many nearby challenging but scenic golf courses or even going to that work meeting. We offer to all visitors’ warm and welcoming hospitality that is hard to come by these days.
The proprietors Nick and Niki and their staff are always on hand to arrange that special thing to make your stay memorable. And, of course, they will always update you on local events and news.

We are open all year for guests and we often have special rates for last minute weekends, midweek breaks or longer out of season stays.

The Inn has ten bedrooms which are delightfully decorated in a comfortable style and yet offer all the facilities that today's discerning traveller expects.

All of the rooms are either double or twin, all have a private bathroom, individually controlled heating, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and a colour television.

One of the rooms features a locally crafted four-poster bed and has French Windows, opening out over the garden for that special romantic holiday.

Guests dining at the Inn may choose from our elegant restaurant, resplendent in crisp white table linen, silver cutlery and attentive service, offering a two or three course set dinner menu which changes daily and incorporates many seasonal dishes. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes.
